whether it's helping to rescue & restore His abused & oppressed loved ones,
teaching adults and youth the truths of His majestic creation,
counseling & discipling His hurting families in crisis,
rescuing & rehabilitating His "wild" animals in need,
or combining it all through "Animal Assisted Ministry".

GSI Focus for 2010-2011 and the future . . .
* Please note - I'll be teaching a heavy load this year at NCS (7 classes). So my "extra" volunteer ministry efforts will be limited to a focus on God's priority to protect, rescue, and restore truly weak & vulnerable people. More & more are being oppressed and abused by predatory power players here in America & across the world. This escalating problem of "survival of the most powerful" at the expense of the weak in society, now overshadows every other burden in my heart - and His (Psalm 82:3-4). Please, find a way that you can help the Good Shepherd's abused & desparate lambs.
- Therefore, I'll not have time or money for wildlife rehabilitation.
- I'll have only limited time for basic counseling of families.
(NOTE: Most counseling issues would fade away if families turned their focus off of self and worked to rescue & restore the truly abused.)
- I'll not have as much time to travel & present seminars on:
... creation vs. survival of the fittest, family counseling & counselor-training, theology/biblical studies, ... etc.
** Even though my schedule now limits my time to address each of these needs, they are all still important problems today. So some of you & your churches could step up and do your part as commanded in the His Word. Remember, His true churches are not "christian" social clubs or entertainment centers. His true ekklesias should be hospitals for the hurting and educational centers for those eager to learn and grow in His character of self-sacrificial love and holiness.

Don't be passive sheeple led to the slaughter. Do your own research, speak the truth in love, and act on behalf of future generations. Failure to act invites "anti-shepherds" to oppress your young lambs (our future generations). Don't wait till it's too late - checkmate could be only a few moves away.
As an OLD sheepdog, my time here on Earth will be relatively short, so it's your turn - students, web readers, & seminar participants. Don't underestimate 
God's ability to work through you, especially when you feel like a pawn pushed around by predatory power-players. Together, pawns can be the power for God's good in His fallen creation.

Yawning is contagious . . . so are cruelty & compassion

There's something much worse than being an orphan or a widow.
- It's being continually abused & rejected 24/7 as a child with a cruel parent.
- It's being continually abused & rejected 24/7 as a wife with a cruel husband.
- It's being abused 24/7 as a man with a cruel slave master - yes even today.
Cruel is becoming culturally cool
Human trafficking & slavery don't just happen
- neither does animal abuse -
The WAY of "selfishness" subtly saturates every aspect of society
** How we treat animals either sensitizes us to compassion or desensitizes us to cruelty, both personally and culturally. - If your worldview is not consistent, it is . Remember, beliefs produce behaviors, so "politically correct" yet biblically incorrect deceptions can lead to destruction. |
* What you believe about the suffering of nephesh animals is inseparably connected to what you believe about the suffering of people, the character of God our Creator, and how we all should live.People are being abused & enslaved like sheep
by predators in power because
the way of the Anti-Shepherd
(the way of "survival of the fittest")
has replaced Judeo-Christian cultural values:
the way of the Good Shepherd
(the way of the Cross)
You and I will soon stand accountable before our Creator,
for what we believe, why we believe it,
and for how we have responded as a result.

Child abuse takes many forms,
and deception is one of the worst

The worldview philosophy of "survival of the fittest" is deception,
which always leads to disorder, devolution, and death.
(Would a good God have designed violent competition as His WAY?)
[Ronald Reagan said] "Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first." (A wise wake up call from experience)
Therefore, the first, most important question, is not
Who will save this broken world, but
Who created us & why is there suffering?
It's the foundational cornerstone of any worldview:
Our Creator's Way is . . .
- the way of the cross -
sacrificing self
for the needs of others,
setting captives free.
The way of evolution is . . .
- survival of the fittest -
sacrificing others
for the desires of self,
seeking false freedom.
Your Good Shepherd
is the perfect protector not the pinnacle predator
"... With righteousness He will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth
. . . .
.... The wolf will lay down with the lamb
... and a little child will lead them
... the lion will eat straw like the ox ....
They will not hurt or destroy in all my Holy Mountain,
for the Earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD."

Do you agree that cruelty is wrong?
If yes, great, but what is your basis, your authority, for your belief?
Is it merely your thought or feeling? Is it only the authority of majority?
Good News - your belief can be based on the ultimate authority.
Morality not based on our Creator's character is merely man's opinion.
"Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
Rescue the weak and needy;
Deliver out of the hand of the wicked.”
